Here you will find the requirements to join the Texas City FFA Shooting Team, information regarding our practice schedules, our three main mandatory contests, a mobile schedule of shoots available for students to compete in, and more.

SHOOTING TEAM REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be currently enrolled in an Ag course completing the ducks unlimited ecological conservation & management certification.
Must have/obtain Hunter’s Education Certification. (This may be done outside of the Wildlife course)
Must be enrolled in an Ag class at least 1 semester per academic year.
Must be an FFA member in good standing.
Students are responsible for soliciting sponsors to offset competition expenses.
Students are also responsible for practice costs.
Students and parents will need to be in the band app for more information throughout the year.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Every Wednesday & Thursday @ 3:30PM during the school year is mandatory
Students must attend 1 practice a week.
Upperclassman with early release may arrive to practice early.
(excluding school break/ holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas Break)
